The Currans

WELCOME to Russell Sale Co. A Cattle Auction established in 1945 by brothers C.D. Curran and Maurice Curran. Fifty five years later the auction is managed by C.D.'s son Judge Curran and Maurice's son Jim Curran.

We are located 60 miles southeast of Des Moines, Iowa or 150 miles northeast of Kansas City, Missouri right on Highway 34. Our yards are always open and welcome to all visitors.

As a Federally approved market we offer a service that will do a professional job for both the buyer and seller. A large modern yards, an experienced crew and a veterinarian are here to assist you with all your cattle needs. Our facilities can handle 5000 cattle with the majority of the pens being under roof, we also have large grass pastures for your convenience. The ring is the scales where head count, weight and price are displayed immediately.

Our sales offer some of the best strings of cattle from southern Iowa and northern Missouri, complete vaccination papers are supplied with all loads of cattle.
